The truth is that you already are what you are seeking

"The truth is that you already are what you are seeking. You are looking for God with his eyes. This truth is so simple and shocking, so radical and taboo that it is easy to miss among your flurry of seeking.”  – Adyashanti Hello my friends, its been a minute! How have you been. Life has been life-ing, it truly has been a time of healing, learning, unlearning and radical acceptance.  I wanted to share some of the unlearning that have come up for me during the few weeks. 1. The Most High is in everything that we do, whether it looks like it or not. The Most High is a breath away and awaits our invitation to step in - I leant that the Most High was somewhere up the sky, outside of me and far away only to return in times of need. 2. Radical Acceptance is a practice - a practice is where one has to take action consistently  3. Radical Awareness is fully accepting things as they are, instead of ignoring, avoiding, or wishing the situation were different, 4 Healing is coming back to

Maybe You Should Trust...

Allow your imagination to be the blueprint of your desired life Maybe you should trust in divine timing - One of my favourite sayings is everything in time, on time, all the time. Maybe you should trust in the Universe - the coming together of everything designed to guide and protect you Maybe you should trust your intuition - even if it seems to go against what you believe you want and need Maybe you should trust the signs - I mean why not? Maybe you should trust the goodbye's when the flow is for forced. Maybe you should trust yourself - God lives in you Maybe you should trust in what is working and what is not so you can choose Peace and Blessings Akosua's Books Nyabo (Madam) Why Are You Here? Feeling the Feelings Fully provides Information

Feel because what exists inside the feeling state that you are avoiding is information - Briana Wiest Over the past week I have been at a Knowledge Fair. Practioners from all over the world had the opportunity to share their experiences on working with Gender Based Violence (GBV).  What stood out for me sharing our experiences is how many of the people in the room continued or even fought to remain  "professional" in the midst of hearing emotional stories. It made me think about how much we are asked to "be strong" which translates to don't show feeling, no crying, no emotions, take it on the chin. How can we be human and deny the fullness of the human experience? How can we show up in a room not being our full selves? Having been asked to do that repeatedly, especially as women, it becomes tough to navigate the world and show up without being given the space to be fully present in our authentic selves. There was a story being given by a GBV survivor, an emotion

Who Does Your Thinking For You?

God gave you a mind to think with & a heart to love with, marry them together & make a difference in this world. Guided Revelation Four days into the Journey to Self Reflection and boy oh boy things have been coming up that I have been laughing, screaming, chuckling and shaking my head at some of the decisions and choices that I make out of habits, fear, comfort and old tapes. The intention of this month for me is to reflect on the decisions that I make, and hold myself accountable for them. To pay attention to the times when I am making decisions based on the past, patterns, remaining comfortable and fear. And how do they impact my life. I am ready to do something new and doing something new requires being mindful, taking action and not repeating mindlessly what I do expecting the a different result. This approach has been  stripping me of everything that I think I am.  What I have learned is: 1. You are able to see things differently when you "do your own thinking"

November is the Journey to Self Reflection

Self -I Love You and I am Listening - Sarah Blondin #Affirmations... #Intentions... As I begin this new month, I will be mindful and intentional about the words I use. Words pave the path to the road of the lives we create. Words have power. I will use the words coming out of my mouth to create intentionally. As I begin this new month, I will recognize the feelings that I have flowing through me. Feelings are guides.  Feelings must be felt in order to transcend where we are to heal. Feelings buried alive do not die, they bleed out. As I begin this new month, I intend to be mindful of the thoughts I allow to occupy my mind. Thoughts pass through like clouds, like waves - which ones will I allow to linger? Just like words, thoughts create. I sometimes get lost in the ones that say I must do more, I must be more, I must win - sometimes they torture me if I am not careful. Be mindful of the thoughts you hold on to consistently - they manifest itself in your lived experiences. As I begin
