No ordinary half hearted call here....

This force, which is the best thing in you, your highest self, will never respond to any ordinary half-hearted call, or any milk-and-water endeavor. It can only be reached by your supremest call, your supremest effort. It will respond only to the call that is backed up by the whole of you, not part of you; you must be all there in what you are trying to do. You must bring every particle of your energy, unanswerable resolution, your best efforts, your persistent industry to your task or the best will not come out of you. You must back up your ambition by your whole nature, by unbounded enthusiasm and a determination to win which knows no failure… Only a masterly call, a masterly will, a supreme effort, intense and persistent application, can unlock the door to your inner treasure and release your highest powers.” - Orison Swett Marden, was an American writer associated with the New Thought Movement.

NiNa- Developing Young Entrepreneurs a program I started in 2010 for young women aged 15-19 is truly one of the things that brings me the most joy! To see young women transform in front of my eyes is truly awesome , I cannot even put a price on the feeling I get. As at September of this year, the program will be expanded to more areas and although it is scary it is still exciting as I get to feel those feelings even more!

As part of the program, the participants present a business pitch at the end of six weeks of life skills and entrepreneurial training of their own business idea , the top three are awarded some small seed cash to expand on the idea, the top idea winning the NiNa Aspiring Entrepreneur Award. This year a young lady won the competition by developing a natural hair care product in her kitchen, tried tested and used (I actually used it as well)! I nominated her to attend a conference in Barbados called the CPDC Youth Training Workshop. They choose three Caribbean participants, NiNa winner being one of the three!

She never traveled before, she asked me if someone would accompany her, I said why don't you try it alone and see how it goes, they will take great care of you! She came back on the weekend and was transformed even more, she had a ball! She made new friends and got a taste of independence and learnt a whole lot! She caught the travel bug! "learnt a whole lot, opened my eyes to issues I never knew existed in the Caribbean, and I know now that I will always own my own business"
I smiled all day! The challenges to set up and run this program was just all worth it
Do something that brings you joy!
Peace!!

Thanks to all who support me in making the program a success!
