Step into the Now
My Mind is Preoccupied with past thoughts - ACIM
Looking at the present through the filter of the past alone puts us at a disadvantage, particularly when the past was full of hurt, fear and disappointment.
When we hold the past against the present, we are not leaving room for anything new. Old tapes keep popping up in our head replaying what has happened not as a lesson but as a barrier.
Of course, it is feedback and it can assist in moving forward, this is dependent on how we process and see the lessons of the past.
The challenge is are we living in the past and making decisions from that place
The challenge is are we staying stuck in the past
How can you move from the past?
You can forgive
You can use the past as feedback only
You can let go of grievances
You can be courageous
You can live in the present moment
Be present
Be mindful of how you are bringing the past into the present
Peace
