Practising Gratitude Prevents Resentment
Most times, the reason why you think you’re lacking is you really just didn’t take the time to be grateful for that which you already are. —drcrystaljones
It took me a while to learn or shall I say accept, that being grateful for what we have does not mean that we don't crave more, want better and want to improve.
Being grateful for what we have is saying to the Universe that we honour where we are in this moment and respect all that happened that got us there. That we are ready to receive more because we can handle what we have in front of us with love and respect.
Gratitude shifts your mindset. It grounds you to start doing better, being better and acceptance because your mood says I have. You start on I have a foundation to build upon something
Rather than I have nothing
If you believe that you have something, your approach changes.
If you believe that you are enough your approach changes
Gratitude is a great multiplier.
The moment I got that being gratitude does not stop me from growing I started moving differently
My gratitude journal is so important to me, I write in it daily, it come be very mundane things, or huge things. Sometimes I am grateful for a sweet slice of watermelon, sometimes it may be for an opportunity that presents itself that I prayed hard for, sometimes I say thank you for the challenges that will inevitably turn into lessons.
I write what I am grateful for NOW and what are my gratitude Intentions daily before I leave the house..
Writing the gratitude list puts me in a frame of mind to build, to be joyful and to accept knowing that I have things in my life which already contribute to me joy and peace.
Ingratitude leads to resentment because we see the lack
Write 5 things that you are grateful for and see how it shifts the energy within you
tell me what happened after, I am curious!
Peace
