Control is an addiction. Humans love to be in control, it makes us feel safe, we make up stories that allow  us to believe that we are in control when many times we are not even close, its all an illusion.

We go out of our way to control situations, people and events. When we believe that we are not in control or losing control, we get out of control. People literally lose their mind.

Many times we over analyze, ask questions and act as if we don't trust the process. Trusting the process allows us to let go of control. Trusting the process comes with trusting yourself. Trusting yourself comes from doing the inner work. It is a process.

I have learned that surrender and letting go takes courage. It seems to others that those who practice  the art of trust, surrender and letting go may come across as laid back or detached. Gone is the need to ask a million questions, to micro manage the process or to blame and shame. The work is put in and the process is trusted.

  You save yourself energy when you learn to ask people what they need, instead of assuming you know best then acting on your own impulses. Allowing people to define what support looks like gives you an ability to assess if you have the capacity to show up - Minaa B If someone asks you right now, what does support look like to you, what would be your answer? It takes self reflection , self awareness and more importantly a whole load of authenticity to answer.   Optimism is usually defined as a belief that things will go well. But that's incomplete. Sensible optimism is a belief that the odds are in your favor, and over time things will balance out to a good outcome even if what happens in between is filled with misery.
