Know who you are

It is not necessary for you to formulate a personal opinion about everybody and everything. Resist the temptation to express one especially in matters that do not concern you. There are at least two sides to every story and then there’s the truth! Your concern is the truth which is void of opinion. You don’t need to know everything, you simply also cannot!  Rev Deborah L Johnson

I'm having a discussion with a friend this morning and I find myself wanting to press forward my point, my friend stood their ground and as I felt the annoyance level rising in me I remembered one of my lessons while I was in the motherland and pulled it out of the arsenal! I know who I am, focusing on me and accepting the point of view of all parties. accept then choose! its that simple!
The moment you sense that someone is not in alignment with you, you start to draw battle lines. You start to try to figure what you need to do to dominate, manipulate, control, cajole, influence or coerce individuals or the other party into seeing things your way and to doing things in ways that would prove to be favourable to your own ego’s point of view. When you don’t know who you are you are afraid that you can lose in the world. When you don’t know who you are , you are concerned that some person, place or thing may do something that is going to make you less, or worse off. So you are constantly trying to create circumstances that make you feel safe. Know who you are, Know who you are , just know who you are! Focus your attention on the  truth and the depth of your own possibility!
Peace!!
