Do you take things personally?


We are all imperfect, flawed, neurotic, and quirky. If you think a perfect team (or partner) is one that is quirk-free and collectively has their shit sorted out, then you should probably consider hermitude as an option. She came into the room shouting! Why hasn’t this been done, what is going on? Is anyone in here serious about this place? Everyone was now quiet and either staring at her or staring harder at their screens. I thought to myself hmm ok the fireworks will not start going off. She continued to shout and I tuned off! Then I heard, the next time I come into the room you stand up and greet me and you do it every time until either you and I are no longer here.

What? What did I just hear?

It just flew out of my mouth! What? You must be joking!

Everyone remained quiet, even the lady who is now subjected to the greeting of a lifetime!

Then I thought, what is it that’s going on here? What’s the lesson?

I have no clue yet but I believe that it may be the case of seeing how fear seeps into someone’s psyche and affects every single decision that is made. I also believe as Wayne Dyer puts it, how people act is their karma, how you respond is yours.

Not taking things personally is one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received as people respond based on their experiences, consciousness and individual stories. There are times coming into contact with them you trigger them and they act out! I sometimes forget this advice and go through the process of questioning what did I do and a whole other set of crap that wastes time but when I do remember it has to be one of the most liberating feelings ever!

    So Ako ..I hope you will be sitting on occasion when she enters in the future...unless she is a dignitary official that requires certain protocol...If this is not this case...my opinion is -bow or stand to no one else :-)...Can't what to see what your decision will be going forward
