What Eliminates the Need to Alter/Fix?

Acceptance
·         Internal mental and emotional reconciliation that eliminates the need to alter/fix what appears to be.
·         Being received as adequate, suitable, favourable reception. Iyanla Vanzant

Our default is to fix it, to make it better, especially as women.
We want things to be our way, to be perfect, no hiccups, no static.
We have a picture in our head of how it is supposed to look, how it is supposed to be. If that doesn't happen we become disappointed, we doubt, sometimes we even blame others.

Acceptance, I have learnt is the first step in making a transformation. Right where you are is the start. Not where you think you are supposed to be, not where you know it can be, but right where you are, start there then move.
If it is raining, accept that, then decide. Sometimes we go off on moaning about the rain, and why there ought to be sunshine and yada yada yada!
Acceptance does not mean that you like what is happening, nor does it mean that there can be no room for improvement. Acceptance is an honest starting point, sometimes it can be hard to face the truth! that is usually the challenge with acceptance! We just cannot believe we are where we are, given what we believe we know.
If we eat too much junk  at the moment and we don't accept it, then there can be no transformation
If we are workaholics at the moment and we don't accept that for what it is we will continue to justify why we spend more time at work, with work than tending to our dreams or our families
If we are afraid of being hurt so we hide ourselves away or chase others away then there is no room for transformation.
The movement is first in stopping and accepting
Accept that
Peace
