Send out the signal

This is one of my favourite pieces to read by Danielle LaPorte and I read it ever so often like today when I need a reminder!


Life is looking for you. Cosmic brigades are scanning the horizon to see who is lighting up. They are looking for hungry hearts, unbridled passion, audacity, courage, RADIANCE — glimmers of sincerity and daring.
This is how it works: You need to show up to get found.

You send out homing signals to the cosmos by being your true self. 

Blurt stuff out, send the letter, wear that shirt, dance!, make the song, meditate with your eyes open, do what it takes to feel the way you most want to feel. Make a joyful noise. Jump up and down. Love out loud and say, “Life! I’m here, right over here!”
Then life can see you in the fog of repression, and heaps of unnecessary purchases, and escapism. And scanning, searching, trusting, an angel will see you trying to live your truth and that angel is going to alert the universe: “There! Over there! She’s claimed her desires! He’s doing something valiant with his creativity! They’re proud of what they want! She is asking for what she wants with her whole heart. He is speaking UP! So bright, all clear, over there!”
And then legions of helpful forces swoop in to help you make more of what you want to make.

If you tone it down, Life can’t hear you.  

If you dull your instincts, you camouflage your soul. 

Life is looking everywhere for you. 

Live out loud and send up a flare

What Does Support Look Like to You?

  You save yourself energy when you learn to ask people what they need, instead of assuming you know best then acting on your own impulses. Allowing people to define what support looks like gives you an ability to assess if you have the capacity to show up - Minaa B If someone asks you right now, what does support look like to you, what would be your answer? It takes self reflection , self awareness and more importantly a whole load of authenticity to answer. Sensible Optimism

  Optimism is usually defined as a belief that things will go well. But that's incomplete. Sensible optimism is a belief that the odds are in your favor, and over time things will balance out to a good outcome even if what happens in between is filled with misery. And in fact you  know  it will be filled with misery. You can be optimistic that the long-term growth trajectory is up and to the right, but equally sure that the road between now and then is filled with landmines, and always will be.
