The Gift of Clarity

And Ancestors patiently await the phenomenon of their descendants awakening. A moment of recognition baring more than a momentary memory. A moment where the I and I enables the self to see, to hear, to remember, to receive. Oh and what a gift awaiting. No need for debating or fascinating about, for this is not the type of gift that will cause any delusions of grandeur. On the contrary, this gift shall realign the vision that one has of one self. This gift shall eradicate all confusion; this is a gift of clarity. A blessed gift indeed. (Natalie Stewart, my absolute favorite poet!! ) recognition baring more than a momentary memory,
A moment where the I and I, enables the self to see, to hear, to remember, to receive.
Oh, and what a gift is awaiting!

She came to me – excited too eh – Madam please write on this paper how you say hello in your country, in your language. I took the paper and wrote “HELLO”, she took it and looked at me “very funny, Madam, but this is English” Yes it sure is. She said Madam is that the only language you speak in your country? Yes, Are you sure? Last time I was there yes, we spoke English! She says we have 56 languages and English.
Me- wow!
“What do your elders speak? What is the language of your ancestors?

“Well my granma speaks English too”
She put her hands on her head, she got quiet, she walked some steps then came back to me

“ Madam, let me tell you – it sounds like there is no honouring of the ancestors, if that is true madam let me say to you that I want you this very second, to start to honour them. Madam, you people are the strongest of the whole lot, you people survived very many things, you people survived so much that you have now come here , you madam, a product of your strong ancestors, to show us what to do. You have become an example and you are sitting here telling me that you say HELLO? Madam no, ok, NO!
You have a duty, you have to honor your strong ones, you are the creation, you are the product, without them you would not be here, I mean HERE!

Madam, respect is immediately due, it is ALWAYS due and you will start right now! Today! Do you understand what I am talking about?ME – Yes, honour myself because when I do every single thing I do will come from that place
So what did I learn today?

I sat down after and thought about what she said and I interpreted it to mean that I have a responsibility to honour those that came before me, those who paved the way to make it easier for me to do many of the things that I now take for granted. I have a duty to also pave the way and make things better for those who are coming behind me, to leave here a better place than I found it. It's not about me me me and what I want only its what I want that contributes to the whole! I live in a world that is continuous and leaving it better than I found it is part of the journey. I thought about how easy I give up and get depressed for simple things and then I thought what if they gave up? what if? Giving up is not an option! Its non negotiable
I give thanks for them and now I know that my every breath is a blessed responsibility!
Thank you!
Peace!!!

Peace!!
